Mark Turney – MD & Mortgage Adviser
Mark has been a Financial Adviser since 1991, setting up Mortgage Solutions as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2000 offering mortgage, insurance, investment and pensions advice. Then in 2004, Mark created Turney & Associates Ltd., working from a tiny converted garage where the company grew so rapidly it necessitated the move to our current premises. Mark has particular expertise in Commercial and Buy-to-Let mortgages and finance and Equity Release.
Highly qualified and bringing a wealth of knowledge, Mark likes to help people and gets great satisfaction assisting clients achieve their goals.
A qualified pilot, Mark enjoys skiing and cycling and often visits his more local clients on his bike!
Sarah Turney – Company Secretary & General Manager
Sarah joined the company shortly after it’s inception in 2000.She is the Company Secretary and General Manager and is also responsible for all the firm’s Accounts, Payroll and Human Resources functions. In addition, Sarah assists our Compliance Officer ensuring that we not only meet but exceed our obligations as set out by the FCA (previously FSA).
Sarah enjoys keeping the office running smoothly and in a particular appreciates opportunities for customer contact especially with many of our older clients who have been with us for years and ask for her personally.
In her spare time, Sarah adores the theatre, good food and fine wine and occasionally, scuba diving.
Cheryl Marshall CeMAP – Mortgage and Protection Advisor
Cheryl has been a Mortgage and Protection Adviser since 2004 She started her career in Essex and moved to Cambridge in 2010 where she joined a local firm working as an Independent Mortgage Adviser working alongside financial planning advisers and investment managers.
She recently joined Turney Associates and specialises in all areas of mortgage advice including purchases, re-mortgages, buy to let and commercial lending. She enjoys taking on complex cases and has vast knowledge of the mortgage market.
In her spare time Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling as much as possible.
If you take out a mortgage or insurance policy with us, one of our Administrators will be assigned to support you and ensure that all the various related administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
Megan started working at Turney & Associates Ltd. in 2006 ,on a part-time basis, while studying full-time for her B.A. (Hons) German & Intercultural Studies degree and did such a great job that she was offered a full-time position after graduating.
Emily joined the company in 2015. Emily previously worked in Marketing for 15 years and has a CIM in Marketing, but is very much enjoying her change in role.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, going to gigs, watching films and drinking cocktails.
With her Leadership & Customer Services qualifications and solid background in assisting clients, Katie fits perfectly with of our company ethos of putting our customers first. Katie uses her excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills to assist with all stages of the mortgage process. Katie enjoys being part of the team and meeting the various interesting challenges that arise from day to day.
Katie has a dog named Molly and likes to find new places to walk her although it’s probably more accurate to say that it’s Molly who walks Katie & her partner! Katie also enjoys baking and experimenting with new recipe ideas. A future contestant for the Great British Bake-Off maybe!
Nadia Miscione – Marketing
Nadia is a psychology graduate with a background in IT, quality assurance and marketing. Nadia joined in 2006 as an administrator on the Lettings side of the business and looks after marketing and promotional activities for both companies. In her spare time, Nadia enjoys socialising with friends, supporting her son at rugby matches in the winter and athletics in the summer and collecting phone apps.
